1353 光緒卅三年「華墨銀行公司」股票貳拾伍圓，美國鈔票公司印製，是見證晚清歷史之珍品。康有為維新失敗後流亡海外，利用保皇會向華僑籌款在墨西哥創辦「華墨銀行」，目的在當地投資及炒賣地產以作「救國」之用。未幾因經營不善及政局劇變而倒弊。近全新品相1907 Chinese-Mexico Bank Limited Stock Certificate $25, Kuang Hsu Yr 33, s/n 4724. In 1907, the exiled scholar Kang Yu Wei used the fund raised by "Chinese Empire Reform Association" to establish the bank in Mexico. It broke down soon after due to mismanagement & drastic change of Govt's policy in Mexico. Extremely rare, a witness to modern Chinese history. Almost UNC HK$60,000

Important Notice for
Bidders & Buyers
  1. Registration:
    Anyone who wish to bid should register with identity documents before the auction.
  2. Deposit:
    Bidder must pay HK$30,000 as deposit before receiving a numbered paddle. The deposit is refundable. Bidder who intends to bid lots with estimate above US$50,000 should contact Rarehouse before the auction. He may be asked to increase the amount of deposit.
  3. Sales Commission:
    19% of the hammer price will be charged as sales commission.
  4. Payment:
    We accept payment in cash of HK$, US$ or RMB. Exchange rate will be announced at the day of auction.
    Payment by cheque, bankdraft, credit card & wire transfer will also be accepted. All bank charges will be borne by the buyer himself.
  5. Collection of lots:
    Lots can be collected during or after the auction.
  6. Non-payment:
    If the Buyer fails to pay the Full Amount within forty five days after the date of sale, Rarehouse has the right to cancel the sale of all the lots won by the Buyer. The deposit advanced by the Buyer will be forfeited. The Buyer will not be allowed to participate in the future auctions of Rarehouse.
